THE GLOBAL GATHERING GALA: SCIENCE PAGES HELP PEOPLE DISCOVER THE WEIZMANN INSTITUTE
The Los Angeles office of the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute was hosting a gala at the conclusion of a multi-day conference and needed to create an invitation and program book that stood on its own yet complemented the existing conference branding and materials.
Straightline Communications designed a unique die-cut and foldout design for the invitation yet utilized visual elements from the conference collateral to create a cohesive piece. For the program book, we incorporated the same color palette used for the banquet table settings and duplicated imagery taken from the table centerpieces to accentuate the elegance of the event. Rather than standard tribute ads, we established “science pages” highlighting Weizmann Institute accomplishments, which were available for sponsorship.
The 66-page program book became an important showpiece for the event that encouraged people to “Discover the Weizmann Institute.” The content and creatively designed science pages transformed a typical program book into a powerful marketing piece that reinforced the Weizmann Institute’s vision and mission.
